Thursday, September 25
Early arrivals check in at Jameson Inn, 206 Corporate Place, Alcoa, TN (two miles south of airport on the Alcoa Highway), phone 865-984-6800.
8:00 pm until ?? After Dinner Social at O’Charley’s across Corporate Place from Jameson Inn
Friday, September 26
11:30 am Golfers depart Jameson Inn for Willow Creek Country Club, 12003 Kingston Pike. Tee times at 12:36, 12:44 & 12:52 (Fees $45.00)
12:00 noon Afternoon of leisure for non-golfers (campus tours, shopping, etc.)
7:30 pm REUNION RECEPTION AND DINNER—Ye Olde Steak House in the former L&N Station, 401 Henley Street at Western Avenue, phone 865-577-9328. Private dining room, order from the menu during the reception. Entrees include steak, chicken, fish, pork chops and seafood and are priced from $10.95 to $29.95. There will be a cash bar and a brief program.
10:00 pm Post dinner drop-in at the home of Dan and Jennifer Brown, 429 Martin Mill Pike, Rockford, TN (off Alcoa Highway), phone 865-982-1466. (Map at the Reunion Dinner).
Saturday, September 27
7:15 am Golfers depart for Laurel Valley Country Club, Townsend, TN (Directions at Reunion Dinner). Tee times at 8:24, 8:32, & 8:40, phone 865-448-6690 (Fees $35.00)
10:00 am-1:30 pm Non-golfers, wives and guests depart for Bob and Arliss Barber’s lakefront home, 194 Dudala Way, Loudon, TN, phone 865-408-9539 for swimming, boating and fishing. (Map at Reunion Dinner)
4:00 pm Tailgate Bar-B-Que from Calhoun Catering at the Tom Black Track. Cost $16.00 per person (includes soft drinks and beer)
7:00 pm Pre-game introduction of UT-SEC Championship Track Alums 1963 – 1971 in the stadium, on the field.
7:30 pm Kick-off Vols vs. South Carolina

The Chuck Rohe Track Era

In 1962 the University of Tennessee hired a young track coach, Chuck Rohe. The next nine years, along with the Stan Huntsman era to follow, began the most successful era of SEC track & field and cross-country dominance in the school’s history.
