Tommy Gladden Memorial
Thomas G. Gladden passed away on May 28, 2003, in Cartersville, Georgia at age 58. Tom was born on November 17, 1944. Tom was a track star at Northside High School in northeast Atlanta and was one of the top hurdlers and long jumpers in the state of Georgia. After a year at Mars Hill College, Tom transferred to the University of Tennessee and joined the track team for the 1964 through 1966 seasons. Tom was a very versatile athlete who ran hurdles as well as the triple and long jumps.
Tom died after a battle with Leukemia and is buried in Oak Hill Cemetery in Cartersville, Georgia.
