Danny Boyd Smith

Danny Boyd Smith of Seymour, Tennessee died January 11, 2006 after a long battle with cancer. He was born March 23, 1944 in Knoxville, Tn.

Danny graduated from East High School in 1962 where he was Senior Class President, a member of the National Honor Society, and was a quarter miler on the track team.

Danny attended the University of Tennessee and was on the Track team where he was on the record setting mile relay team in 1964.

Danny served in the U.S.Army where he attended Officer Candidate School and was a second Lieutentant at Fort Knox, KY.

Danny spent most of his adult life in sales. From 1986 through 1993 Danny was the announcer for the Seymour High School football games and was known as the voice of the Eagles.

Danny is survived by his wife Debbie and his children Derek and Debbie and grandsons Cody and Austin.
